RAIA moved to Mumbai from Toronto in late 2015 to record and learn more about Indian culture. Along the way, she found freedom, as an artist and as an independent woman operating in the big city. Drinking chai is a euphemism for just that: living freely, taking time to appreciate everyday instances that make life beautiful, and rejecting society's norms in favour of what is right for oneself.
